Vermont Guardian ad Litem Program Training Schedule

The Vermont Guardian ad Litem Program offers a no-cost, four-day, Preservice Training for all new GALs which must be completed after your interview and prior to becoming a GAL. These trainings are offered virtually or in person at locations across the state.

*Please note: All trainings are offered to new GALs or current volunteers of the Vermont Guardian ad Litem Program and are not open to the public.

Fall 2026 Guardian ad Litem Preservice Training

Location Montpelier VT

Day 1: September 8, 8:30-3:30 

Day 2: September 15, 9:00-3:30

Day 3: September 22, 9:00-3:30

Day 4: October 29, 9:00-4:00

Winter 2027 Guardian ad Litem Preservice Training

Location Montpelier VT for days 1 and 4, remote days 2 and 3 

Day 1: January 4, 8:30-3:00

Day 2: January 11, 9-3:30

Day 3: January 25, 9-3:30

Day 4, February 1, 9-3

Spring 2027 Guardian ad Litem Preservice Training

Location Montpelier VT

Day 1: May 3, 8:30-3:00

Day 2: May 10, 9-3:30
