The Orleans County Courthouse at 247 Main Street in Newport is temporarily closed to the public. Court assistance and forms are available at the Orleans Criminal Courthouse located next door at 217 Main Street. All hearings will be held in person at 217 Main Street unless you are notified otherwise.

The Information Center is a division of the Judiciary that answers incoming phone calls for the Courts. Staff can help with:

General information about the courts, court cases, and court processes.
Processing credit card payments over the phone for court fines, filing fees, and fees associated with copy requests.
Providing information on Court hearings including date, time, and whether the hearing is in person or remote.
Providing hearing/remote log-on information for public remote hearings
Connecting callers with appropriate Court staff when needed.
