Constitution Day 2026: Panel Discussion on the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution on September 17th
The Vermont Bar Association will host a Constitution Day panel discussion on Thursday, September 17, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Vermont Law and Graduate School’s Chase Center in South Royalton. The free and public event will feature a panel of Vermont Supreme Court Justices, Vermont Superior Court Judges and a Vermont Law and Graduate School professor for a discussion of the U.S. Constitution, with a particular focus on the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
Vermont Supreme Court Associate Justices Christina Nolan and Michael Dresser, Vermont Superior Court Judges Daniel Richardson and Benjamin Battles, and Vermont Law and Graduate School Professor Peter Teachout will participate in the panel, moderated by VBA President Jordana Levine. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the panelists following the presentation. The event also will be livestreamed, and all attendees will receive a pocket Constitution.
